Biography
Shi Pu was born in Wuhan, China, in 1983. He studied electrical engineering/automation at the Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT), Wuhan, China, and computer science & technology at the Wuhan University (WHU), Wuhan, China, respectively, then he received both of the B.Eng. degrees and was recommended for pursuing an M.Eng. degree in 2005. Since 2005, he has been with the Laboratory of Electromagnetic Theory & Microwave Technology at the Institute of Lightwave Technology, Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), Beijing, China. From September 2005 till July 2006, he was working toward the M.Eng. degree and completing its all curriculums. He passed qualification examinations and became a doctoral candidate in 2006 by the continuous academic program. From September 2006 till December 2007, he was completing all curriculums for the doctor’s degree, and was also a teaching and research assistant of School of Electronic & Information Engineering, BJTU, Beijing, China. Since September 2007, he has been a researcher and working toward his doctoral thesis on integrative modeling techniques of wireless RF link. In July 2011, he was granted the Dr.Eng. degree in electrical engineering/electromagnetic field & microwave technology from BJTU, Beijing, China.
From July 2011 till July 2012, he was appointed as a Lecturer at the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), Beijing, China. From July 2012 to July 2013, he was working as a Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. Since July 2013, he joined the Department of Physical Science & Technology, School of Science, Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan, China, where he has been promoted as an Associate Professor from September 2015.
Research Interests
Now his main research interests include mm-Wave/THz-Wave Antenna/Circuit Device towards Automotive or Transportative Radar, Railway Environmental EMC, Electromagnetic Wave Absorbing/Transmitting Functional Metamaterials, Multiphysics Simulation of EM-Thermal-Mechanical Fields for Integrated Chips/Chiplets, Wireless Power Transfer Coil/Circuit Systems, SPP Wave/Periodic Slot Waveguide for SERS, and Wind-Blown Sand Electrification Leads to ESD.
